Could The X- Ray Of The Foot Shows The Fractured Knee?

Hi,
I would like to know if I have a misaligned/fractured knee, would it show up in a foot x ray. At first I thought my pain was coming from my foot and now it is coming from my knee. I didn't want to get any more radiation exposure from the x ray then I already have.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

A fracture or malalignment involving knee joint cannot be seen on foot X ray. You must get X ray knee AP and lateral views of the concerned side. If you feel there is a pain in the knee then I suggest you consult a doctor an get X ray of knee. There is very less radiation risk from an additional X ray.
