Could The Yellow Urine I M Experiencing Be A Side Effect Of Livolin Forte For Hepatitis B Treatment?

Hello, 37years old, live at Nigerian, I was diagnosed with HepatitisB, But am on Livolin Forte, 2 tablet daily 1 morning and 1night, and I noticed my pee is yellow since I started taking the drug. Could it be the effect of the drug? I would ike to read back from you Doctor, Thanks doctor.

Hello,

Yes, you are experiencing a side effect of Livolin forte. Livolin forte contains vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), die to which urine gets a bright yellow color at normal doses. You need not worry. Livolin forte is a supplement to support the liver. It helps protect liver cells and supports its regeneration. You are advised to drink enough water everyday.

Since your liver is affected avoid doing strenuous and heavy work. Take 8 hours of quality sleep, to help your liver recover faster. Taking boiled food and water will be very helpful. Avoid spicy, oily fried food. Do not take packaged and processed food. Avoid taking red meat till you recover. You can take lean meat but take small portion. Take food that is easily digestible so that you don't overload your liver.

Stay away from alcohol, smoking and addictions if any. Get your liver function tests (LFTs) at least every 2-3 months for hepatitis B follow-up so that you don not neglect your health.
