Could There Be Normal Menstruation After Skipping Off Cycles?

I skipped my period about 3 times purposely. Never missing an active pill at all now I m taking my sugar pills, this Saturday will be my last sugar pill then back to my active pills I go. I ve had cramping and very light bleeding (not even enough for a pad).My period usually comes on day 3 of sugar pills but nothing yet. Will I even get one because of the length of my skipping?

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Withdrawal bleeding after a long period of suppression by oral contraceptives is usually scanty.
This is so because the lining of the uterus, which is shed in menstruation, remains thin while on contraceptive pills and thus the flow of blood is less.
There is absolutely nothing to worry.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
