Could This Be A Symptom Of Cancer If Your Lungs Is Shrunk And Blood Is Seen When You Sputum ?

my dad has wounds in one of the lungs and the other has shrunk in size, he coughs alot and some times blood is seen the sputum. the doc has ruled out TB. he has been a heavy smoker, could these be cancerous
