Could Throbbing Pain Near Belly Button Be Indicative Of Appendicitis?

Hi. I think I am having appendix pain but not sure. Steady slightly throbbing pain near belly button on right side. How would I know if it is appendicitis? Would I wait until more pain happens? I ve had this for the past 6 hours. Had nausea after I ate and got lightheaded and dizzy for a bit but fine now. Just the pain at the moment.

Hello

Your symptoms may indicate appendicitis.
However it is important to exclude other causes also.
You may need clinical correlation and investigations.
You may need routine hemogram and ultrasound of abdomen.
In ultrasound long, tubular, blind ended, aperistaltic structure in RIF may indicate appendicitis.
Surgical intervention or conservative treatment depend upon findings and clinical evaluation.
You should consult surgeon for proper evaluation.
There are also clinical methods to confirm appendicitis.

Get well soon.
