Could Tingling, Numb Fingertips With Painful Rashes And Peeeling Skin Be Fungal Infection?

I have tingling & numbness in fingertips. Pinkey on right hand ocassional shows small petichial red dots (hemorraghes) that trun brown in a day or two. Painful, prickley feeling, then skin scales off. Quick and fingernail is receeding on that finger. I was also having dry patchey skin on top of both hands - went to dr and received steroidal cream which has helped that condition. I have been to local dr. Also been to dermitpologist (PA). She thought small finger might be due to fungus infection?? Note: I had bowel resection surgery last April due perforated bowel from advanced diverticulitis. Seems like this all came on after my surgery.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
dear,
first of all thanks to HCM.
let me clear one thing that there is no relation between surgery for diverticulitis and ur present condition.
all the symptoms mentioned by u are suggesting about either possible fungal infection or it seems a case of psoriasis...if u had any family hisory for psoriasis than its more common in family member.
psoriasis a autoimmune disease and it may be multi system disease.
main charcterstic symptoms are shining flakes or scales of skin which is pain ful on removal, and may bleed.
i suggest you to take a second opinion if ur condition does not improve , u can send ur photos of lesion and that will be more helpful.
thanks
