Could Tonsillectomy Cause Canker Sores And Mouth Ulcers, As I Am Severely Prone To Getting Them?

I am a seventeen year old girl who is getting her tonsils removed soon. I am very prone to canker sores/mouth ulcers and get them almost whenever I bite the inside of my mouth and/or cut myself while eating solid foods. I was wondering if a tonsillectomy would do just that and cause me to have many many canker sores in my mouth? Thank you!

hello. dont worry, although there is a possibility of you developing them, but they will heal soon and if the decision has already been made to operate, then i think you should go ahead with the surgery. thanks
