Could Two Pills Of Omeprazole Delayed Release Per Day Advisable?
I am taking Omeprazole delayed-release, two pills a day.
My doctor sent this doses but not the generic. I bought these pills over the counter.
Is this a good dose? one in the afternoon, an hour before lunch and one in the
evening an hour or half -hour before dinner?

I appreciate your concern for the dosage of Omeprazole.
Basically Omeprazole (proton pump inhibitor) is used to suppress the stomach acid production to treat symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease and other conditions caused by excess stomach acid.
Because of its long duration of action, it is recommended for once daily use only (taken one hour before breakfast) and it is found to be effective in this dosage.
The dose can be increased depending upon the response but not the frequency.
