Could Two Small Lumps On The Head Be Due To Blood Clot?
2 small knots on my cousins head, he slammed his head on a jungle gym and now has two lumps on his temple, there close together like they have a valley between the two lumps, there both on the right temple. it feels almost like a blood clot, theres a pulse when i put my fingers on it.
Trauma would result in the formation of swellings in the affected area . It is also not unusual for there to be increased blood supply to these areas.
He should apply ice to the swellings.
If he meets the criteria for CT scan after minor head injury then he needs to see a doctor. New Orleans criteria state if one or more of these is present then a CT would be best: (1)headache (2)vomiting (3)older than 60 (4)drug or alcohol use (5)seizure (6)visible trauma (7)persistent memory loss
I hope this helps
