Could Using Debroz In Ear Cause Recurring Ear Infection?

I had a middle ear infection that started on Jan 1st. I stupidly used Debrox in that ear tonight and I suffered a good amount of pain. I am worried I reinfected it and I have to fly on Saturday. To add to this I am a musician and my hearing is rather important.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I can understand your problem, if your ear is still paining then it is better to have pain killer now instead of using any ear drops because the ear need to be examined clinically, once the pain subsides then you have to see the ENT surgeon for the pain the best option is Tab Acetaminophen with Ibuprofen three times in day hope this information helps you. bye

Hi,
since you have middle ear infection, please clarify is it acute otitis media or Chronic suppurative otitis media or serour otitis m9edia. These three are common cause of middle ear infection and treatment differs in each cause. If the tympanic membrane is intact then the chance of reinfection due to application of ear drops is minimal.

For pain you can take NSAID like Ibuprofen and antihistamines. These will help you in reducing pain. Consult your doctor once for examination.

Regards
