Cure For Hives On Buttocks After Lidocaine Anesthesia Injection

I had a lidocaine anesthesia injection given to me on 4/20/2011. I was given stereoids in my spine for a disc problem. Now I have what looks like "hive" whelts on my buttocks in the general region of where the injection was given. I am taking benedryl and going nuts from the itching which i refuse to scratch. Help
