Current Blood Pressure: 170/105. Do I Need To Go To The ER ?

Current blood pressure: 170/105. Do I need to go to the ER? It s usually around 140/90, but none of my doctors have ever prescribed meds to manage it. Over the last week, I ve not felt so good, so I ve begun to monitor my BP at home. Within the last few days, its been around 170/105. I m trying to get in to see one of my docs in the next few days, but is this BP high enough to need to make a trip to the ER?

Considering the fact that normal is 120/80; I would say you should be at the ER instead of at the computer. Go now, unchecked high blood pressure can lead to stroke, heart attack, or death. God bless you, now go get your butt to the hospital!
