Cut On Eyebrow, Healing With Neosporin. How Long To Continue?

My son got a cut on his eyebrow. We cleaned the area and kept a bandage on for 3 days, cleaning the area, changing bandage and adding neosporin morning and night. For the last 3 days we have stopped using a bandage but have been applying neosporin at night. The cut seems to be healing nicely. Should we continue to apply neosporin? Should we still being using a bandage?

hi dear
thanks for choosing HCM
you have not mentioned your son age or his tetanus immunisation status,as it is already late for tetanus immunisation and the injury appears to be healing and non infective, its OK but take care of this after any injury .if the last booster dose received is more than 10 years before then it should be given

secondly you have not mentioned the dimensions of the wound sometimes the contracture of the healed bigger wounds of eyebrows may pose a difficulty in proper apposition of eyelids so take care of that in your case i hope its a small one

applyin neosporin twice a dayis a good idea

you can also give him vitamin C supplement and tablet serratiopeptidase thrice a day for three days . this wil fasten the healing

good luck
