Cut On The Back Of Head Followed By Mild Headache, Tightness In Neck And Shoulders. Remedial Measure?
hello, on sunday a i ran into a sign and that made me fall and hit my head on the pavement, ending in a cut on the back of my head which was bleeding for a while, i went to a and e they said everything was fine, had a mild headache for a few days, the day after the fall my neck and shoulders were very tense and now each day my neck has been in lots of pain and feels very tense.
Hello,
The fall and resulting injury has probably involved deep structure in your neck like ligaments or muscles. Following injury muscles become stiff (spasm) to minimize movement and to reduce pain. You need to undergo reevaluation because the pain has persisted for longer. "Everything is fine" in emergency setting of head injury may mean that brain is not injured, nonetheless other minor injuries too need care. revisit your doctor and simple medications may be helpful.
Good luck.
