Cycles Of Depression With Immense Fear, Intense Happiness, Suicidal Tendencies. Treatment?

Hi, I am 23 years old working professional. To be frank, I usually have these cycles of depression with immense fear, intense happiness. These cycles just runs and runs. I am a very sensitive guy. Even small things makes be feel depressed and that remains for a day or two. Many times I had suicidal tendencies during my depressed state but it has decreased now than what was it 2-3 yrs back. I am a reserved guy and prefer to be alone most of the times. Sometimes I feel over-excited and over-ambitious and sometimes I feel useless and totally hopeless. Is it normal for a 22 yr who has started his career. These things are really distracting me. I have certain goals to achieve in my life which due to this has already been affected. Please help...

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your problem description. I clearly understand your problem. I sincerely say that you have no problem that cannot be cured.

You are just 23 and might be lazy, without any future goal or drive, you are idle most of the time and you are clueless about what is happening to you. This happens to every idle and lazy individual because "idle mind is devil's workshop". Got it?

Please stop lamenting yourself and pitying yourself. Be active, Learn the lessons which the life offers to you. You are not depressed, but distressed. Distress is momentary. But if you think about the distress over and over above it creates mood swings. I suspect that you are a victim of such a problem.

Consult a psychologist for counseling and psychotherapy and yoga master for yoga sessions and meditation. Meanwhile do physical exercises and other activities which keeps you busy all day long. think seriously about your future and do the needful.

Hope this clears your doubts. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck.
