Cylindrical Number, Power Is Left -2.25, Right -1.75. Not Using Lenses Due To Infection. Can Lazik Be Used?

Hi Dr,

I am Ankita, age 23yrs. I am having Cylindrical number since almost 15yrs now.My power is
Right -1.75
Left -2.25

I used contact lenses for 1 year but i'd got infection that's why my doc suggessted to stop wearing lenses. so i stopped using them.

Can i go for Lazik ? please provide your suggetion.

Hello,
You are having myopia in both eyes.

You can undergo LASIK to correct the refractive error.
The prerequisites to undergo LASIK are
Age more than 21 years, you are now 23, so no problem
Stable refraction for last one year without any change

I think you fullfill both the above conditions, hence you can undergo preliminary examinations required for LASIK like corneal thickness measurment..... After all the examinations your doctor will advice you regarding the type of refractive laser surgery like LASIK which will suit your eyes.
