Cyst In Groin Area, Having Pain, No Drainage, Increases In Size. What Could Be This?

Hello: I am a 52-year old female. For some time I have had a large cyst in my groin (pubic) area. The area has become so irritated by my underwear, the skin covering the cyst-like lump has rubbed away causing extreme pain. There used to be clear liquid coming from the lump, but now it just has a raw appearance to it with no drainage. Funny, but in the morning it appears to be much smaller and less painful and it increases in size,as does the pain, as the day progresses. What could this be???

Hello,
Thanks for the query,

You might have developed sebaceous cyst.

It is a collection of dead material under the skin.

When you press this material comes out as black debris.

Dont worry its not a dangerous condition.

Treatment is mainly surgical.

It can be removed with the wall of the cyst, through a small incision.

Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.

Let me know if you have any other doubt.
