Dad Is In Hospital Following A Subarachnoid Haemorrhage Due To
Dad is in hospital following a subarachnoid haemorrhage due to ruptured aneurysm 5 weeks ago today. He suffered just about every complication possible including pneumonia and respiratory failure, and still has hydrocephalus. There is talk that we may be able to take him a short trip to the hospital canteen tomorrow but the trouble is that he's a smoker who is desperate for a cigarette despite having been on max strength patches for the last 5 weeks - and my mother is seriously considering allowing him a cigarette!?? I suspect I already know the answer to this and have highlighted both the likely outcome of tomorrow and the long term ramifications of continued smoking to my mum but would you confirm to me what a cigarette is likely to do to my dad tomorrow please?
