Daily Chest Pains With Increased Blood Pressure Due To Indomethecin

daily chest pains for the past 2 months, so severe had to call 911. had echo, stress test, ct scan of lungs, cardiac enzymes.. all negative, visited g i specialist and rheumatoid dr.. prevacid daily ordered.. no help, indomethecin ran my blood pressure sky high. still with daily chest pains. nitro doesnt help. please help.

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Indomethacin is painkiller and included in NSAIDs(non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs) group.
On long run it can cause hypertension and acute gastritis.
Since your extensive cardiac work up is normal, acute gastritis is the most probable cause for your chest pain.
Along with prepaid (antacid), you need to follow these lifestyle modifications for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid stress and tension.
2. Avoid hot and spicy food.
3. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
4. Drink plenty of fluids orally.
5. Avoid unnecessary use of pain killer drugs.
