Dark Brown Discharge From Vagina, Anxiety, Chest Pain, Nauseated. Done Pap Smear. Worry?

For the past 4-5 weeks I have had this dark brown discharge coming from my vagina. There is no foul oder. My partner is also a female, she has had a pap-smear before and everything came out clear. I can't get a pap-smear for another week but I am stressing out because it's a very very very small chance that it's an STD. I have also had bad cramps during this period of time and feel nauseas quite often. I offer suffer from anxiety so I feel that any pain I'm getting (cramps/chest pain) comes from that but I'm still worried. Advice?

Hi,

If you haven't pass your periods this month, wait until the due date. Most probably, it is a sign of initiating periods.

Other than pap smear, I would recommend examination of vaginal swab to see what's going on there (after getting your periods).

Your cramps would also be related to infection of urinary and genital tracts, for which appropriate treatment is needed.

Hope it helped!
