Dark Brownish Lump On The Inner Thigh. Is It Dangerous To Pop It?
hello, I have a dark brown redish lump on my inner thigh and its been there for some time now at first I thought it was a boil but I cant pop it no matter what I do and its not going away if I leave it. im thinking its just blood trapped but I really want it gone and is it dangerous to take a pin or something to help pop it ??
Hi, Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HCM. After reading your query it appears to be related to some hematoma ( collection of blood) or related to some deep tissue like muscles underlying. You haven't told us since how long it is been present and also the exact size of it and any associated symptoms for the best of diagnosis. Even then the very first and important thing to tell about your idea of popping is- it is not at all a good idea to puncture your lump with any thing by any method by your side. This is because of the fact that : 1.it can get infected 2. can cause severe bleeding 3. There are chances of further deep infections or tetanus in the same. So it is the best part to get examined fro surgeon who can diagnose it treat it properly. All the best. Dr Sanjay K Kanodia MD ( Dermatology & STD)
