Dealing With Tonsilloliths For Many Years. What Are The Options For Treatment?

I have been dealing with tonsilloliths for many years now. As I have gotten older, they havegotten worse. I have very deep tonsilar crypts, and unless I stick something in my mouth everyday to try and clean these areas out, I get these huge, insanely smelly, chunks of crap! What are the options for treatment? And are there other options besides tonsillectomy?

Tonsiloliths are chronic conditions. Conservative management can cure current symptoms, however they often recur again.
If you are looking at a complete eradication of the problem, then surgical treatment/tonsillectomy is the choice.
Conservative management in the form or regular mouth gargling(preferrably with saline water) and antibiotics when inflammed can help in controlling the condition.
