Dear Doctor, My Upper Abdomen Discomfort Started On My Left

Dear Doctor,

My upper abdomen discomfort started on my left side Tuesday morning. It progressed into a feeling of having a constant stitch throughout the day. Also very tender. Could not bent down without severe tenderness.

The stitch has travelled towards the centre of my upper abdomen and slowly to the lower left of my abdomen. At times it feels like contractions. However this evening the tenderness has subsided.

I am regularly going to the toilet.

Having my dinner thus evening I have felt discomfort, almost as if having short spasm.

I don't really want to go to my Doctor unless it is necessary. Is this an intolerance.

I usually don't eat bread and I have soya milk. But this Christmas I did have some. Although I have never had an intolerance.
