Debilitating Cough, Foot Surgery

For almost two years I had a consistent cough and could not find a cause. It was almost debiliatating. On April 19th I broke my foot and had to have surgery the next day. Since my surgery I have had absolutely no cough and was wondering why. It is wonderful but I m shocked that the cough just disappeared after suffering so much.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Welcome to Healthcaremagic.

Well , I too would consider it as an unexpected event. There would be no relation between the surgery and the cough unless you were put on general anaesthesia during surgery where you will be intubated which can cause some changes in the larynx and trachea which can cause problems or treat them.

Wish you good health.
