Decreased Urine Flow And Burning Sensation At Tip Of Penis. Slightly Enlarged Prostate. Citralka Syrup And Voltral SR 100 Tab. Suggestions?

Dear Doctor : The urine flow is slow and at present - for last 4 days - I have slight burning sensation at the tip of my penis (extreme front) after each passes and feel that still there are few drops left. I visited a general doctor as it was Sunday (three days back) and Urologist was not available. The doctor gave me Citralka syrup as I informed him that I was comfortable with citro soda in past. He also gave me Voltral SR 100 tab (1+1 a day). The flow of urine improved but not fully as I have slightly enlarged prostate which also shows that my bladder is very small. Kindly help me get rid of this pain. (Kindly also note that am living alone for past 3 years (without a wife) and this also affects my health. Kindly reply.

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having enlarge prostate giving rise to this problem.
Consult urologist and get examined.
After examination and investigations plan of treatment can be decided.
Meanwhile continue with medicines prescribed by your doctor.
Ok and take care.

your symptoms suggest that you are having benign enlargrmrnt of prostate
associate with mild urinary tract infection
you can cotinue citralka syrup as advised by your doctor
take plnty of water
take anantibiotic like norfloxacin twice daily after microscopic examination of urine
