Delay Periods Possible Using Birth Control Pills, Is It Safe?

hi.i want to know is it possible and safe to delay periods by using birth control pills for the very first time or there is a chance that it will decrease effectiveness of birth control pills. actually i never used them before so i am confused about it because want both things effective..can u plz help me

Hello

Birth control pills should be used for birth control rather than delaying the period
They can be used to regularize the periods

Progesterone like norethisterone is a better choice to delay the periods
