Delayed Periods. Unprotected Sex. When Should I Take Pregnancy Test?

hi, i thiink i might be pregnant but i actually dont know, my period was meant to come today but it didnt, im sexually active with my boyfriend and we did have unsafe sex, he didnt come inside, but he did pre cum and im scared that, that could of gotten= me pregnant, i havent got any discharge whatsoever today, and i would also like to know how long to i have to wait before i can take a pregnancy test?

Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Chances you getting pregnancy are less but the possibility still exists.

You have to wait for a week after missed periods to get urine pregnancy test done and get positive test result.

since you are supposed to get periods today, I suggest you wait for one week and do urine pregnancy test at home.

hi,
sometimes pre-ejaculate fluid can contain spermatozoa, so the chance of pregnancy cannot be completely ruled out,
so you can go for blood test for pregnancy now or wait for one more week and go for urine test for pregnancy,
depending on the result further management can be planned.
