Dental Cleaning, Split In Gums On That Side, Unable To Eat Anything, Burning Sensation. Treatment?
I had an Right Upper Quadrant dental cleaningon 21 Aug 12 by my hygenist. A few days later, I had noticed that my gums felt split in the roof of my mouth on that side as well as where I open my mouth on the right side and I feel it. It hurts and is not enabling me to eat anything on that side and/or certain foods burn at those sites. HELP!!!

consult a dental surgeon he will suggest some tropical anesthesia cream which will Numb your oral tissue Skin Fast and will ease off your pain while eating and tropical antibiotics ointment and it will go off within a week.

please do not get worried,you can do warm saline rinses.soon you will feel better.
it is a common phenomenon after scaling(cleaning).
Also, when the hard deposits are removed it appears that the teeth has turned loose ,which is not so actually.
Also use antiseptic gum paste for massage.

Have patience and get your complete scaling and polishing done.
Do warm saline rinses 3-4 times a day for 4-5 days and maintain good oral hygiene.
Take CLAXIN tablet and maintain good oral hygiene.

please don't be worried about anything because healing of oral mucosa is much fast as compared to our skin... just apply local anesthetic gel over the area...
avoid hot and spicy foods...
take B complex also... it will also make the healing process fast...

question arises as to why you visited the dentist in the first place. it appears you were having poor oral hygiene.yours could be a case of gingival recession wherein the gums loose their firm adhesion to the teeth,i advise you to visit a periodontist who will try to arrive at the reasons for this condition. meanwhile you may apply a topical anaesthetic gel such as mucopain and a desnsitising paste such as colgate sensitive pro relief.

whenever the hard deposited are removed from your mouth during cleaning procedure,some laceration of soft tissues is also seen.
This is generally seen post scaling(cleaning).
please do not get worried,it will heal soon.you can apply dologel in the affected areas,this will relieve the symptoms.
Please do frequent warm saline rinses,as it helps a lot in recovery.

Removal of calculus as well as plaque deposited in between your teeth.
Surgical recontouring or repositioning of flap has to be done if necessary.
Use soft interdental toothbrush as well as chlorhexidine mouthrinses to gargle.
Maintain oral hygiene well.
Take vitamin c as well as folic acid supplements.

it seem that area is inflammed.consult your dentist.he will
preescibe you with painkiller and mucopaint that will help.
rinse mouth with warm saline water twice daily for relief.
