Depression, Diabetes And Diabetic Neuropathy. Loss Of Sensation On The Toes. Need Treatment?

i AM 62 YEARS OLD; HAVE BEEN A TYPE II DIABETIC SINCE 1995 WHEN I WENT THROUGH A MENTAL DEPRESSION; ENDED UP IN HOSPITAL AND THROUGH A MEDICAL, FOUND THAT I HAD DIABETES.
I HAVE RESEARCHED DIABETIC NEUOPATHY HOWEVER I DON'T HAVE PAIN IN MY HANDS NOR FEET, NO TINGLING. MY ONLY SYMPTOMS ARE THAT THE SKIN ON MY FEET FEEL LIKE TISSUE PAPER TO THE OTHER FOOT BUT WHEN I REACH DOWN AND TOUCH MY FEET, I FEEL THE TOUCH OF MY HANDS. SOMETIMES THE TOES FEEL NUMB BUT THEY ARE STILL MOVEABLE. I MASSAGE MY LEGS, FEET, ARMS AND HANDS AFTER EACH SHOWER (ONCE PER DAY). I HAVE CONSULTED MY FAMILY DOCTOR AND SHE DOESN'T SEEM TO THINK IT IS WORTH FURTHER DIAGNOSIS. WHAT COULD BE MY PROBLEM?

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

Type II diabetes is more common thn ny other form of diabetes. You are under medication for your problem and your doctor knows what to do. Please understand that your doctor is able judge and if you are not satisfied with his treatment method, then you find a doctor who is suitable to you and believe him and stick to him. Because belief itself cures half the problem. Researching about any problem without the concent of your doctor makes you feel that you have that problem. Such aa syndrome is called intern's synrome.

No self diagnosis. Trust your doctorthen no anxiety.

Wish you good future
