Skin findings occur in dermatomyositis: Gottrons sign , heliotrope rash, Conflent macular violaceous erythema (shawl sign) over the V area of neck etc Treatment options available: Prednisolone Methotrexate Mycophenolate Intravenous immunoglobulin Azathioprine (Imuran) Cyclophosphamide. I would advice a detailed discussion with your dermatologist about the most appropriate therapy with the least side effects.
