Diabetic. On Home Dialysis. Pain In Left Chest, Radiates Down Left Arm. Cause?

my dad is 71 years old he is a diabetic and is on home dyalisis he has been exsperiencing a stingig pain..as he descibes it a stinging pain like lightning running threw his chest he says the stingin pain is on the left side of his chest and radiates down his left arm but ony last a few seconds. it happened yeserday in the evening after 2:00 pm then again las night when he went to bed..what could this be or should hego to the hospital next time it happens

Go to the ER. Myocardial infarction/ heart attacks can present atypically in diabetics. Please see a doctor.
