Hello,
Diabetes is a progressive disease and with passage of time oral anti diabetic drugs gradually loose their efficacy because of gradual destruction of beta cells of pancreas. These beta cells are responsible for production of insulin which helps in controlling your sugar levels.
This is the reason, even double dose of your allopathic medicines didn't prove to be successful.
It is very difficult to predict the outcome of your present treatment and has to be seen in next few weeks whether these medicines are helpful or not.
One thing is sure that sooner or later, the effect of these oral antidiabetics are totally lost and if ypu find that medicines are not helping in controlling your sugar levels, you must switch to injectable insulin at once.
It is very important to keep a tight control on your blood sugar levels to avoid future macro as ell as microvascular complications.
Thanks
