Diabetic Person, Teeth Pain, The Effects Of Tooth Extraction
my mum is a dabetic person . she has teeth pain and the teeth lose from the place , but the doctor told her to remove the whole teeth so is that a good idea. she is doubtful a sugar person may even die after removing the teeth . what are the effect for teeth romoval for diabatic person?

As your mother is diabetic and her tooth is lose, getting it removed is abetter idea but before that she needs to maintain her blood sugar level by medicines or insuline and start antibiotic cover. if sugar level is not maintaind wound might not heal after extrction.

Your mothers concern is feasible since she is diabetic. But she should not worry. Diabetes causes various types of oral and dental problems from which one is loosening of teeth. If her dentist has told to get all removed, then the condition of her teeth might not be in the condition to be saved. So she can go for extraction but other condition shave to be fine. She should be taking proper medicines for diabetes and should get fasting and post prandial blood test done before undergoing procedure. If her sugar levels are not controlled then she has to wait till it get under level. Also on the day of extraction she should not go empty stomach otherwise she might suffer from hypoglycemic attack.
Rest her dental surgeon will explain depending on her condition.

your mother being a diabetic person is not a contraindication for extraction as long as her blood sugar levels are maintained within appropriate limits. get her blood sugar levels checked. if they are ok, go for extraction immediately as advised you by your dentist. if levels are not ok , first get under them control with insulin or other hypoglycemic agents after consultation with your physician. also take proper antibiotic coverage while undergoing extraction as diabetics are prone to infection.maintain her oral hygiene properly.
and dont worry about her dying after extraction due to her being diabetic. it is not possible if you take abovesaid precautions.

you did not tell that your mum is taking proper treatment of diabetes or not......
is it controlled or not...........
because of uncontrolled diabetes she can face so many problems like loosening of teeth,delayed wound healing,ridge resorption etc................
so firstly you please go to a physician and get her diabetes controlled.........
after that she can go for extraction and it will be safe......
so please do not get worried.........

Please do consult your physician prior to tooth extraction.
If your blood -sugar levels are controlled level,extraction of tooth can be done safely.
Healing of socket usually delays in such individuals.

in diabetic pts periodontal fibres that attch to the tooth get loose and hence mobile tooth
now if your dentist is advising for an extraction than the tooth must be in grade 2 or 3 mobility
so what i would suggest that you go according to your dentist just keeping a few things in mind
1.if the sugar level is more than 200 than try to consult your physician so that he can adjust the doses of hypoglycemic drugs inorder to reduce the level because high levels are a risk to proper healing . INFACT in high levels of sugar there are chances that bleeding does not stop after extraction as clot formation is real delayed
2.consult your physician and dentist both so that your mother has proper antibiotic cover because daibetic pts are at high risk of infection
saying that i will also like to mention that dont get panic because if you consult a qualified dentist and physician than they are apt enough to handle the situation and nothing would go wrong

DIABETES is contraindicated for extraction, you cannot undergo for the extraction of the tooth until the blood sugar level is under controll.
I would suggest you to consult your Physician before extraction, get your blood sugarg level examined and if it is controlled you can safely get the tooth removed.
Take a course of antibiotics and analgesics under the prescription of your Dentist.
Usually healing of wound is delayed in diabetic individual.
Maintain a good oral hygiene, take antiseptic mouthwash rinses.
