My brother has been a diabetic for at least 30 years, to combat that situation a recovering alcoholic. He has had 2 strokes, is considered legally blind but still able to work, and is in 4th stage renal failure . Recently he has been experiening severe neuropathy thru out his body( face , chest hands feet , legs and arms) explains it as numbness which goes into needle like bee sting . The doctor has him on a seizure med to control but doesn t seem to help. Just like to know beside the complex b12 he is now taking to ease up the pain- what is the is the long term effects of this type of condition and can it be paralyzing and is there anything else that should be addressed to help (ex. special diet) Thanks Maureen
