Diabetic, Small Seed Like Particles In Stool, Increased After Taking Insulin. Any Ideas?
I just found out that my diabetes is now to the point of insulin. But that is not my question. In the past with bouts of diarrhea, I have noticed small white seed like particles in my stool. But a day or two after I started the insulin, I had diarrhea (I have diarrhea a lot with the Metformin drug) and there were literally thousands of these little white seeds. What can these be? And is there a reason there would be so many after starting the insulin??
I am afraid it might be hard to assign or associate these experience you are having with the stool to insulin. This is not a usual side effect of insulin, which for sure, are experienced by others. However, highly uncontrolled diabetes predisposes to complications of this disease, which affection of the gastrointestinal tract, with problems of diarrheoa on its own as a complication. Even without drugs, it is not unusual to have diarrehaea in patients with diabetes.
In your case, a clear examination of these seed like structures, especially since of recent onset could be of interest. I suggest you consider if you have changed your diet lately or taken a type of food you are not used to (allergy). I strongly recommend you consult your family physician for a complete clinical review and management. Thanks and kind regards as I hope this helps.
