Diagnosed For Dengue. Is The Fluctuation Of Count Of Platelets Is Common In Dengue?
my brother is admitted in hospital and been diagnosed for dengue and is being contnuosly treated for the same for the last two days yesterday his platlets was around 1 lakh today its 62 thousand i wanted to know is the fluctuation of count of platelets is common in dengue or any other fever.

Yes,it is common to have low platelet count (fluctuation of count of platelets) in dengue fever.
Low platelet count is also seen in malaria, leptospirosis and other viral fevers.
