Diagnosed For Paranoid Schizophrenia. Is The Drug Combination Of Serenace, Chlorpromazine, Nitrosun For My Diagnosis Correct?

Diagnozed paranoid schizophernia. On serenace, chlorpromazine and nitrosun. Is the drug combination of the above antipsychotics ok for my diagnosis? What are the side effects of this combination? It would be helpful if a psychiatrist answers the question

Hi,

Of the medicines you are taking, serenace and chlorpromazine are antipsychotics while nitrosun is for sleep. The combination is ok for your diagnosis if you are comfortable with it. These days, serenace and chlorpromazine are not preferred much as there are other medicines like olanzapine, risperidone etc which are effective as well as have a better side effect profile. If you are not having any major side effects with this combination and it is working for you, then you need not worry.

Best wishes.
