Diagnosed Tachicardia. Echocardiogram Done, Heart Sound. Strange Palpitation Feeling In Chest, Have Hiatus Hernia. Treatment?

I have been diagnosed with tachicardia after wearing a holter monitor for a 24 hour period. I have had an echocardiogram today and the doctor thinks my heart is relatively sound. I am now on bet blockers and my heart has slowed to pretty normal. However I still get strange palpitations in my chest and feel a bit light headed with these. I have a hiatus hernia and often think my heart symptoms accompany discomfort or pain from my gut / hiatus hernia. Is there a possible link? What is best treatment?

hello dear
thanks for your query at HCM
Hiatal hernia has often been called the "great mimic" because its symptoms can resemble many disorders. shortness of breath (caused by the hernia's effect on the diaphragm), heart palpitations due to irritation of the vagus nerve,

In most cases however, a hiatal hernia does not cause any symptoms. The pain and discomfort that a patient experiences is due to the reflux of gastric acid, air, or bile.
for acid reflux and pain take tab pantoprazole twice daily before meals.
that will decerease pain and gastric discomfort.
If the hiatal hernia is in danger of becoming constricted or strangulated (so that the blood supply is cut off), surgery may be needed to reduce the hernia, meaning put it back where it belongs.
Hiatal hernia surgery can often be performed as a laparoscopic, or "minimally invasive," procedure.
hope this will be helpful
