Diagnosed With Dilopia. On Ceftin. Took MRI, Shows White Matter Increased In Brain. Caused By Lyme Disease?

MY NAME IS MARY,RECENTLY DIAGNOSED WITH DILOPIA,DUE TO LYMES DISEASE THREE WEEKS AGO,CURRENTLY TAKING CEFTIN 1000mg daily,vision seems like it is trying to get back to normal,but waxes and wanes. I RECENTLY HAD AN MRI scan, telling me my white matter has increased in the brain,could this be comming from the lymes disease,i am a nurse,so i have knowledge this could be of other problems,have been fine until the lymes disease,please respond,i am about crazy trying to research everything.thanks so much.

Hello,

One of the complications of Lymes disease is involvement of the central nervous system.

It causes meningitis(Inflammation of the outer covering membrane of the brain).

MRI find and your clinical symptoms like visual problems are in favour of that.

Consult a neurologist for further management.
