Diagnosed With Hepatitis A, Recovering With Low Grade Tiredness. Suggest A Good Diet?

I was diagnosed with hepatitis A about a month ago, after traveling in a remote rural area in Africa. I went through all the unpleasant symptoms and now am on the road to recovery, only left with low grade tiredness. I ve been trying to be careful with my diet (avoiding all fatty foods etc), sticking to salads and greens, but now that I seem to be a bit better- I wondered what I can eat? I ate broiled salmon and white rice today. Is this OK? I know that recovery can take a few weeks...

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
You have suffered Hepatitis A about 1 month ago and already recovered .
In Hepatitis strict diet restriction is neither advised nor required, you are asking this from Africa in Hepatitis patients self impose diet restriction.
It is all right to avoid fatty meal when there is no appetite and there is severe nausea and vomiting other wise it is advised to take good balanced normal diet as lack of calories causes weakness and weight loss and recovery is delayed. 1 month is already long time have speedy recovery.
Please take normal diet and take care of potable water,if any vitamin or liver protective drugs are advised please continue to take and you will have normal energy.
Please check your liver function and confirm they are normal.
Take care
Good Luck
