Diagnosed With Hodkins Lymphoma. Had Stem Cell Transplant For Cancer. Still Having Non Cancerous Nodules. Suggestions?

Curious of husbands diagnosis. 3 years ago he got very ill and didn't seem to get better-his college professor thought he may have mono-he was never tested though. After a couple months he noticed a lump on his chest just left of the sternum. He had a ct scan which revealed nodules on the lungs and a tumor on the mediastinum. Lung and germ cell cancers were ruled out. They did a fine needle biopsy and decided it was lymphoma but not sure if it was hodkins or non hodkins. They ended up siding with hodkins because they couldn't find the RS cell. However his symptoms matched with hodkins. He had fever night sweats, itching, sensitivity to alcohol. None of his lymph nodes have ever been swollen and his bone marrow is good. Just the nodules in lungs and mediastinal tumor. He was treated with rchop 8 rounds and went into complete remission. 18 months later a 1cm nodule showed up on a pet scan. This was biopsies via FNA and we initially got a call saying it was non cancerous due to the flow cytometry test- a week later dr calls back and says under the microscope the cells look the same as the original biopsy and believed the cancer was back. He received a stem cell transplant completed dec 2012- to date his scans are still clear. They say they can tell he's had treatment as there are 1mm nodules on a ct scan but that they are not cancerous and just scaring. All this just seems strange to me. He's only 27 years old. From my research he would be the only person at his age to have primary pulmonary lymphoma.

If it is a hodkins lymphoma, he should have received abvd chemotherapy.after transplant the lesion is 1mm which is not significant and it could be inflammatory lesion.at present keep a close follow up of the lesion with followup with your doctor on every month and see for the progeissively increasing size of lesion. If progressing, then it should be confirmed by Pet scan and biopsy.
