Hi

Research shows that Medroxyprogesterone acetate may increase the risk of breast cancer risk in post-menopausal women. Its use for more than 12 months caused the increase of risk by 2.2 fold in a trial. The risk is lower in younger women. The risk appears to dissipate after discontinuation of treatment.
