Diagnosed With A Body Virus In The Blood Stream, Diabetic. What To Do ?

My doctor has diagnosed me with a body virus that has gotten into my bloodstream. I am a 62 year old very active businessman and firefighter and this has knockewd the crap out of me. He tells me there is nothing I can take for this. Drink lots of water, eat well and watch sugar levels as I am a diabetic. I hav not felt this bad as far back as I can remember. Am I missing something?

The body develops antibody against the infection a provides a natural protection.
But some viral infections needs specific treatment. You have not mentioned any specific viral infection. So I can't make any recommendation.
