Diagnosed With Congestive Heart Failure. How To Treat Excessive Heart Rate During Movement?
My 87-year old father fell and broke his hip in Sept. and underwent successful surgery. Some months later he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, and is being treated with medication. He has a thickened heart wall, in one chamber and a narrowed valve that goes to the lungs. At the moment he is in hospital, but when he sits up or moves around his heart-rate goes up to 155 beats/ minute. What would be the next step?
