Diagnosed With Contact Rash. Taking Prednisone. What Could This Be And What Is The Remedy?

I was cutting wood with my two boys and all 3 of us was diagnosed with a contact rash. All if us have been on prednisone and I have been thru 2 scrips of it and a shot and 4 weeks of this it is coming back again. Both boys have it again too. We are wondering what in the world this could be and what can we do to get rid if it.

Hi i think contact rash will not effect all the members at the same time.i think u all the members are suffering from scabies.it can be presented as itching at night time mostly on wrist.finger web areas and groins etc.it can be cured by permite ointment from neck to toe weekly once and use of atarax 25 mg at night .antibiotic twice daily and application of diprovate g ointment over the lesions

Dermatologist Dr. Geetika Paul's  Response
Hi,

Seems like all three of you have been in contact with some common allergic agent.

Try to find out if there is any new chemical that you have recently been handling at work place.
Such allergens can be a thing as common as a new soap or a handwash.
Hope you all are not using dettol or spirit for hand cleaning.
Both oral and topical steroids are used for treatment .
But it is important to recognize the causative agent to prevent development of allergy.
