Diagnosed With Cyst In Prostrate, Enlarged Prostate, Normal Psa, Has Burning Urination, Prescribed Antibiotics, Advised Sonography. Serious?
my father is detected with a cyst in prostate of inhomogeneous echotexture, prostate is enlarged and when advised a psa the levels were in normal range, he is suffering from burning urine problem with some pus cells in his urine, doctor has prescribed for a 20 days antibiotic course and then repeat sonography , can you guide us, i hope nothing like a cancer, please advise

PSA is wihtin normal range so it os not a cancer , so dont worry about that.
Inhomogeneous echotexture, enlarged prostate with pus cells and normal PSA points towards a infective pathology like abscess formstion in prostate after UTI.
Your doctor is on right traclk and you also continue with antibiotics.
Dont worry and do repeat scan definately.
