Diagnosed With Grade 2 Fatty Liver. IS It Life Threatening? Cure?

Hello Doctor, My mother is diagnosed with grade 2 fatty liver . I want to know is it dangerous or life threatening. and what are tha causes of grade 2 fatty liver. and i would like to know how to cure it ? And i myself is diagnosed with grade 1 fatty live is it too life threatening and how can i cure it ? And please do tell me the causes .

Hi,
thanks for writing in HCM.
Fatty liver is a fully treatable condition. It requires 6 months of intense treatment. The commonest causes are alcoholism,hypoproteinaemias, obesity,diabetes and side effects of drugs.
