Diagnosed With High Cholesterol, Dark Purple Blackish Bruise On Thigh. Advise?

I have been recently diagnosed with very high cholesterol. I picked up medication today, have not taken yet. I have a purple blackish bruise on my thigh that I can't explain. It wasn't there when I woke up and appeared around noon. I can see the veins are purple. I am fearful this is a blood clot and would like to know if I should seek medical attention.

Hi and welcome to Healthcare magic. Thank you for your querry.
I tdoesnt seems to be anything serius. It can be broken vein or you just got hit during sleep. Just apply some heparin gel and it should pass in several days. If this gapens again you should do haematologic work up to rule out some clotting disorders. Cholesterol shouldn be related to this. Wish you good health.
