Glucose fasting indicates 113.35mg/DL and glucose post prandial indicates 136.98 mg/dL. Urine alaysis showed 1+ protein. Renal function tests are normal. The ultrasound scan shoed a fatty liver with no focal lesions and the size being normal. Kidneys and other abdomen scan was normal. I am a bit concerned.lease advise
Your husband is suffering from a condition called metabolic syndrome, in which overweight or obesity drive an inflammatory response, that includes fatty liver infiltration and impaired fasting glucose as a consequence of insulin resistance. The most important thing for him is to lose weight, at least 8-10% of his current weight gradually, with diet and a strict regimen of aerobic exercise of at least 150 minutes weekly. If not paid attention to, metabolic syndrome can progress to diabetes and hypertension.
