Diagnosed With Mild Pericarditis, Advised Abstinence From Alcohol, Drug Usage. Will Smoking Marijuana Prove Harmful?

Hello, I recently was diagnosed with a light case of Pericarditis . It s nothing serious the doctor just told me to stay healthy and stay away from alcohol and illegal drug usage. But i have a medicinal marijuana card? So would it be bad if I am smoking weed while trying to get rid of this? or should i stop smoking as of now. please help :)!

Hi there!
.....It was bad that you suffered a mild form of Pericarditis .But my dear friend,if abstinence from smoking is advised, then i very well think that abstinence from marijuana will be more benefecial to you.
You must have heard,'prevention is better than cure' ,.so following this rule, please avoid marijuana as it causes tachycardia(increase in your heart beat),.Due to percarditis, your heart becomes easily susceptible to any such stimulus. So eat healthy, think healthy, avoid smoking anything and everything.all the best, take care, stay healthy.
